Live The Language Spanish Conversation Classes is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and we want to celebrate by giving back to the beautiful Austin community that has given us so much for so many years. We are offering six scholarships to current public-school teachers for our Beginner Spanish Course.
In our years of teaching Spanish we have taught Spanish to a whole range of people, from varied professions and we feel that public school teachers are one the pillars of our communities and the foundation of the progress of young generations, so we want to empower teachers to learn Spanish to use it for professional development and personal enrichment.
This scholarship has a $1200 value, for a 16-week beginner Spanish conversation course that covers 16 interactive lessons. This course will give you the tools to become conversational in Spanish in present tense, and key knowledge of past and future tenses. This class will meet on Sundays, via Zoom, 3-5 p.m, June 1- October 5, 2025, no class on July 6, July 27 and August 17. This scholarship includes weekly conversation practices, Fridays 12:00-12:30 p.m. via Zoom and in-person happy hours as well as special events.
Each class will be recorded for you to review the lesson during the week. Live the Language will use the recordings to train future Live The Language teachers to teach Spanish with our Live In Spanish™ curriculum.
We will select six public school teachers based on need and commitment to learn Spanish. Please apply here for our beginner Spanish scholarship by April 15, 2025. Applicants will be notified of our decision by email by May 5, 2025.
